Martin is a specialist in designing, structuring and promoting alternative investment funds and financial instruments to advance private clients’ needs and public policy objectives. He is a financial expert and has deployed his financial skills very broadly in the context of the European Structural and Investment Funds and the new Alternative Investment Funds regulation. As a professional with long-developed consulting skills, he combines deep financial expertise with a client-focused approach.
Martin has been the principal author of the overall concept for the implementation of the EU financial instruments in the Czech Republic, as part of a working group at the Ministry of Finance. He follows his role of General Commissioner for Innovative Financial Instruments (Commissioner of the Government of the Czech Republic as a part of a team of four other experts supervising the preparation of the 2014 – 2020 programming period). His role included participation in the preparation of the 2014-20 partnership agreement with the European Commission and operational programs in the Czech Republic. He advised the Government Office on financial & capital market regulatory and optimization issues. He was an external member of the National Economic Council (Government advisory body) and he is a co-author of the Strategy of Competitiveness of the Czech Republic (financial markets section).
He is a member of the Jessica Investment Board in the Moravia Silesia Region, and of the Committee for Commercialization of Brno University Technical. In 2011 Martin founded a non-profit organization called Czech Republic for Finance (CRFF), similar to Luxembourg for Finance and also the Czech Innovation non-profit organization, supporting the innovation culture in the Czech Republic.
